To support NHTSA’s goal of a unified and intuitive experience across the Artemis data management system, I led the design of a scalable design system in Figma that aligned multiple modules under a cohesive framework. The process included auditing existing interfaces, identifying shared patterns, and defining reusable components, visual styles, and interaction behaviors with accessibility and federal compliance requirements in mind. Components were designed to meet WCAG standards and support consistent, accessible interactions across the platform.
Clear usage guidelines and documentation were established to strengthen design governance, ensure ongoing compliance, and support long-term scalability. The resulting system served as a single source of truth for designers and front-end developers, enabling efficient collaboration, supporting future expansion, and maintaining visual, functional, and accessibility consistency across the Artemis platform.
